Logo Fun Stuff & An Auction!
We have been exploring some ways to generate funds for our organization --- and there are a wealth of them out there! There are so many things to take into consideration when planning a fundraiser. It has to be something that will actually generate funds and service a large enough group of people to make it profitable for us. One tough factor is finding one that will work for our supporters both near and far. We plan to hold a few local fundraisers here, but we also want our long distance supporters to be able to participate. SO, this is what we're doing in the very near future. We hope you'll plan to participate and help us raise some funds for the cause!
{1} LOGO STUFF!
We are in the process of ordering some logo items to offer for sale. These will be available both here on our blog and on our Facebook page. At this point we will definitely be offering t-shirts, car logo stickers, silicone bracelets, infant loss awareness pins, and some kind of bag (either canvas or reusable shopping style). There are plans in the future to add other items such as sports water bottles, keychains, and a stuffed bear with logo t-shirt. If you have any suggestions or items you'd like to see, we are open to the ideas. Of course it is all dependent on funding, but we hope to eventually be able to offer all kinds of fun stuff!
{2} AUCTION!
We are hosting an AUCTION on FACEBOOK! The plan is to start the auction on Tuesday, February 28th and run through Isaac's birthday on Sunday, March 4th. At this time, we are searching for supporters to donate items to auction. This auction cannot be successful without your support, and we hope you'll consider donating something. This can be just about anything, but specifically if you (or someone you know --- we love referrals and have already had a couple of great ones!) are crafty, own a shop/boutique, work retail, or have any other item you could donate, we need your help. It benefits a great cause and gives you publicity! We will add your website or details under our Supporters tab here as a thank you for your donation. Gift certificates always go great, as well as hand crafted items.
The auction will be pretty simple. Pictures will be posted on FACEBOOK and bidders will place their bid directly under the picture. The last comment with the highest bid before the ending time gets the win. The winner will be invoiced to pay for the item (plus shipping, if necessary) via paypal and once paid for, the item(s) will be on its ways. ALL (every last penny) proceeds benefit A Little Thunder and help bring comfort to grieving moms and dads.
