Delivery To The University of Kansas Medical Center

We had such a great experience delivering boxes to the University of Kansas Hospital on January 9th. It was truly a wonderful experience. I don't know why I worried so much! You see, this was the first time we had been back to Labor and Delivery since we left there with empty arms. I didn't really know what to expect. The nurses brought us into a room back in the corner opposite from the room that we had been in with Isaac. It looked very similar to "his" room. I had to mentally tell myself that it was ok, and it really was. It was awesome to talk to the nurses about the boxes and share my hopes and desires with them. The hospital had a photographer from public relations there to take pictures for a feature story in their publication called "Good Medicine". I can't wait to see the story! Everyone was fantastic, and we felt very loved.

A HUGE thank you to Cupcake A La Mode for donating 48 cupcakes to the Labor and Delivery staff! They were so excited to receive the goodies and wanted us to thank you for your generosity. It was a wonderful gesture of love and kindness, and we appreciate you! If only I'd thought to get a picture of that goodness. Each flavor looked AMAZING, and I probably would have eaten one of each if we'd stayed around any longer. We hope the staff enjoyed too!
